They say hindsight is 20/20 and who would have thought as we entered this new decade that it would bring the trials and tribulations that we have seen so far.
2020 was planned to be packed with plenty of action and for KTM Australia adventure it was our most ambitious year yet, with two KTM Australia Adventure Rallye’s planned for the first time in the events history.
In true adventure fashion however, the best-laid plans don’t always go that way, which sees us waiting another year to embark on both of our planned orange experiences.
The KTM Australia Adventure Rallye: South West WA, originally planned for October 2020, will now be postponed until October 10th – 16th 2021, joining the KTM Australia Adventure Rallye: QLD RANGES on next years’ calendar.
As previously announced, the KTM Rallye QLD RANGES will be held May 1st – 7th 2021, starting and finishing in Kenilworth.
Registered riders for both events have been given the chance to keep their registration, or cancel and receive a full refund. Registrations will re-open in early 2021 to fill any remaining spots.
“This decision did not come lightly!” states Rosie Lalonde, KTM Australia Marketing Manager. “However 70% of the registered riders and the majority of the KTM support staff were coming from the East Coast – therefore without one hundred percent certainty that the WA border will be open, we did not want to sacrifice the experience that riders have come to expect of a KTM Adventure Rallye.
As this was the first time were bringing the event to the West, we want it to be bigger and better than ever, so we believe moving it to 2021 is the best course of action. We are in the same boat as all our riders – we just want to get our and adventure! However good things come to the those who wait, so we just have a bit longer now to plan and get excited about the event.”
The KTM Australia Adventure Rallye is all about enjoying your KTM adventure bike with like-minded adventurers, therefore we look forward to 2021 and creating more memories through these unique experiences.
